A little bit more about me

I'm a cultural worker, producer, writer, artist and arts administrator. I like to wax poetic about the world at large, the magic in the ordinary, and imagined worlds.

I'd like for this website to be home to archives of things I find fascinating, thoughts, sights, sounds and other things experienced through the senses or dreamed up in imagination.

I'm in an endless cycle of cleaning my room and hunting for four leaf clovers. I like to keep diaries, logs and archives, often unorganizedly and with a serving of spontaenaeity. (Did I spell that right?)

Current Interests! Some things that have been in my amateur research rotation:

Learning how to code to carve fun spaces on the web! Eventually, I'd like to look into the history and progression of social, connective spaces on the web. Still thinking through my questions.
Cooking, Foodways, Food Anthropology. Local food ecologies and economies. Cuisines!
Practices in herbalism, with a focus on Northeast of the USA, the Philippines, Mexico, the Caribbean, paying mind to glean knowledge and wisom from Indigenous, Black and POC voices and vantage points.
Folk spiritual practices, specifically my ancestral Tagalog and Filipino practices + Chinese-Filipino variations of Taoist and Buddhist spiritual practice and thought. Also looking up various Latin American folk practices.
Archetypal Tarot. Tarot as a ritual toolkit for meditative, introspective reflection. I'm fond of Jessica Dore's writing, and taken by Rachel Pollack and Benebel Wen's writing on the Tarot!
Cats! Cat behavior, cat cognition, the history of humankind-cat cooperation. Better communication with cats! I love cats! Especially my cat, Harana! She is a 4 year old Gray Domestic-Medium Hair.
Revisiting Filipino history, and hopefully one day cross-comparing the particularly notable textbooks observe the differences in approach and narrative.
Histories of and within NYC neighborhoods!
